Thanksgiving 2008

Great Grandma with Everett, Noelle and Charlie. Noelle is modeling her favorite no-pants look; but her Elmo underwear sure are cute!

While Noelle looks very happy in the photo above, notice how cooperative she's being here when we're trying to take a nice photo for our Christmas cards....

We rented a house near LaCrosse for Thanksgiving. It was a little ways out in the country, and we kept seeing men in blaze orange carrying guns near the property. People were nervous to go outside, so Brian purchased these lovely hats so that people would feel safe outside.

Fun with Clothes

Noelle's new favorite game is "Laying out clothes for my baby". Of course I get the fun part of re-folding all the clothes and putting them back in the dresser!

Toddler Yoga

Noelle and I went to a toddler yoga class today. She did pretty well, for the most part. After about 15 minutes she started re-arranging the yoga mat and tried to cover herself up with it like a blanket, but at least she was quiet. Some of the other kids were running around the room the whole time, and eventually she ended up joining them (as did most of the kids), but things were pretty much wrapped up by that point.

Haircut Before and After

We're tired of fighting Noelle every morning to brush her hair, especially since there's always crusted food and other stuff in it. So we decided to cut it shorter. I do like it, but I wish it were even shorter....

School Pictures

Noelle had pictures on Friday at daycare. We took a few photos at home first to practice. She looked SO cute, and she cooperated very well, but she has this new cheesy smile for photos. It's like she doesn't know how to smile naturally. Oh well, she still looks cute.

Bedtime

Two and a half going on 58....Gotta love the robe and slippers. And for those of you who haven't met her, "Yellow Baby" is also making her appearance on camera. She is Noelle's "go-to" toy for comfort.

Sleeping soundly. As much as she drives me nuts sometimes during the day, kids are just so peaceful and innocent when they sleep-- it makes you forget all the bad stuff!

Big Sister

Today we told Noelle that she was going to be a big sister. Brian showed her my belly and told her that there was a baby inside. She looked at my stomach with curiosity, and then proceeded to pinch and prod my bellybutton (which is starting to protrude). She was staring at my bellybutton like she would be able to look through it to see the baby. She said "Let me see it", referring to the baby. When we said that it wasn't going to come out for a few months she said, "Oh....let's play ball". And that was the end of it :)

This Past Weekend

Halloween! Noelle and her friend Cece at the daycare Halloween "parade". In case you can't tell, Noelle was a princess. I think we made it to about 8 houses trick-or-treating before the meltdown. It was very cute though-- Noelle has a hard time with the "tr" sound, so when she said "trick-0r-treat", it came out "frick-or-freat".

Playing in the leaves

We are working on Noelle's new room upstairs. Here she is sitting in her bookshelf, with her feet in her dollhouse, playing.

"Helping" dad prime her dresser before it's painted.
